Installation Policy

Customer-Supplied Products – Installation Policy

TESPEX may, at its discretion, agree to install products, accessories or components that have been purchased or supplied by the customer and were not supplied by TESPEX.

Customer-Supplied Product Compatibility

TESPEX cannot guarantee the fitment, compatibility, appearance, dimensions, quality or performance of products that have not been supplied by TESPEX.

Where our installation team identifies a potential fitment or cosmetic issue before or during installation  including, but not limited to, gaps, uneven fitment, alignment issues, colour differences, protrusions or other imperfections we will advise the customer where reasonably practicable.

If the customer instructs TESPEX to proceed after being advised of a known or potential issue, the customer acknowledges and accepts that the completed installation may contain that issue.

Photos or videos may be provided to the customer before proceeding. Images may not always accurately demonstrate the size, depth, visibility or appearance of gaps or other fitment issues when viewed in person.

Customer Approval to Proceed

Where TESPEX identifies a significant compatibility, fitment or cosmetic concern, installation may be paused until the customer provides approval to proceed.

By providing approval, the customer confirms that:

  • they have been informed of the identified concern;
  • they understand that the final appearance or fitment may differ from their expectations;
  • they authorise TESPEX to continue the installation despite the disclosed concern; and
  • they accept responsibility for issues arising from the design, dimensions, compatibility or quality of the customer-supplied product.

Installation Fees and Refunds

Once an installation has been completed in accordance with the customer's instructions and any disclosed fitment or compatibility concerns accepted by the customer, installation labour charges are not refundable merely because the customer subsequently changes their mind or is dissatisfied with an issue that was disclosed and accepted before completion.

TESPEX is not responsible for defects, incompatibility, poor fitment, manufacturing tolerances or design issues inherent in customer-supplied products.

If removal, reinstallation or additional labour is subsequently requested due to a customer-supplied product or a previously disclosed and accepted issue, additional labour charges may apply.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
